Boxing champion Mary Kom has been eliminated from Bigg Boss 20, bringing her seven-week journey inside the reality show’s house to an end. The eviction was announced by filmmaker Rohit Shetty, who appeared as a guest host during the show’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode on Saturday.

Mary Kom’s exit came after she lost both her lifelines, ending her run on the popular reality show. The Olympic medallist took the announcement in a positive spirit, expressing gratitude for the experience and the time she had spent with her fellow contestants. Reflecting on her journey, Mary said she was happy to have played the game for as long as she did and gained valuable experience along the way. She also expressed hope that the housemates would miss her presence after her departure.

“Main itna din khel paya, itna experience mila. Bahut acha laga. I hope they will miss me… acha khel ke aana hai… personalities dikha ke aana hai,” she said, encouraging the remaining contestants to play well and let their individual personalities shine throughout the competition.

Staying true to her sporting spirit, Mary added a playful remark as she prepared to leave the house. “Ring mei ko kisi ko nahi chorungi,” she said, reminding everyone that while her reality-show journey had ended, her competitive attitude inside the boxing ring remained firmly intact.

Her elimination triggered an emotional response among the housemates. Amrapali Dubey was particularly overwhelmed and broke down in tears as the contestants came to terms with Mary’s departure. In a heartfelt farewell, the housemates gathered together and sang “You are a champion” in unison, celebrating the boxer’s achievements and bidding her goodbye on a warm note.

Mary’s time on Bigg Boss 20 had given viewers an opportunity to see a different side of the celebrated athlete. Beyond her accomplishments in the boxing ring, she became a familiar presence in the house through her kitchen activities, joint workout sessions with fellow contestants and lighthearted conversations. These everyday moments helped her connect with housemates and audiences while showcasing a more personal side of the sporting icon.

Her departure marks the end of a significant chapter in the season, particularly for contestants who had formed a bond with her during the seven weeks. The emotional farewell reflected the place she had carved out for herself in the house, where her presence extended beyond competition to shared routines and moments of camaraderie.

Bigg Boss 20 premiered on September 6 and is hosted by Salman Khan. The reality show streams on JioHotstar at 9 pm and airs on Colors at 10:30 pm, continuing to follow the contestants as they navigate challenges, relationships and the pressures of life inside the house.

Although Mary Kom’s journey on the show has come to an end, her farewell carried a clear message: the champion may be leaving the Bigg Boss house, but her fighting spirit remains unchanged.
