Nayanthara is set to share the screen with superstar Rajinikanth once again, with Raaj Kamal Films International announcing her special appearance in the upcoming Tamil action thriller Dharman. The production house unveiled a new poster welcoming the actress to the film, sparking interest among fans eager to see the combination of two of Tamil cinema’s biggest stars.
Announcing the news on social media, Raaj Kamal Films International wrote, “THE AURA IS DOUBLE, Welcoming the one and only #Nayanthara to DHARMAN.” The post also tagged the film’s key cast and crew, including Rajinikanth, producer Kamal Haasan, director Ashwath Marimuthu and music composer Anirudh Ravichander.
The poster announcement adds another layer of excitement to Dharman, which brings together some of the most recognisable names in South Indian cinema. While Rajinikanth leads the project, Nayanthara’s special appearance has become a major talking point following the production house’s announcement.
The upcoming film marks another collaboration between Nayanthara and Rajinikanth, who have previously worked together in films including Chandramukhi and Annaatthe. Their on-screen pairing has remained popular with audiences, making her latest association with the superstar particularly noteworthy.
Titled Dharman, the film is written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International in collaboration with Turmeric Media. The project was initially announced under the working title Thalaivar 173 before its official title was revealed.
The film has undergone changes in its directorial lineup during development. Sundar C was initially announced as director, followed by Cibi Chakravarthi, before Ashwath Marimuthu took charge of the project. Filming began after the latest announcement, setting the stage for the next phase of production.
Apart from Rajinikanth and Nayanthara, the film features Simran, Raashii Khanna, Ram Pothineni and Yogi Babu in prominent roles. The ensemble cast brings together performers from different segments of Indian cinema, adding to expectations surrounding the project.
Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music, while Niketh Bommi is handling cinematography and Pradeep E. Ragav is responsible for editing. With its combination of action, thriller elements and large-scale commercial entertainment, Dharman is shaping up as a major upcoming Tamil film.
The collaboration between Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan’s production house has also attracted attention, given the longstanding stature of both stars in Indian cinema.
