For Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap, Diwali is as much about bringing people together as it is about celebrating the festival of lights. The couple opened their Mumbai home to friends from the film industry for their annual Diwali gathering, turning the evening into a lively get-together filled with familiar faces, music and plenty of dancing.

The guest list reflected the many corners of Bollywood, with actors, filmmakers, producers and fashion insiders coming together to celebrate. Among those who attended were Karan Johar, Bhushan Kumar, Guneet Monga Kapoor, Apoorva Mehta and director Amar Kaushik. Sara Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra were also part of the celebrations.

The evening saw more familiar faces arrive, including Aparshakti Khurana with his wife Aakriti, Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani. Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra joined the festivities, while Twinkle Khanna, Shreyaa Chaudhry and fashion designer Manish Malhotra added to the star power.

But it was not just the celebrity arrivals that offered a glimpse into the evening. Tahira took to Instagram to share a video capturing the party's more candid moments. Guests could be seen dancing, posing for photographs and spending time together, offering a look at the celebrations beyond the usual red-carpet appearances.

Alongside the video, Tahira shared a personal note about why the annual gathering means so much to the couple.

“Let there be love and light. Diwali celebrations for @ayushmannk and me have always been with our family and friends! Mumbai has become home and so our friends are our extended family here! We slept at 5 am and danced till our feet hurt…the best feeling,” she wrote.

Her words offered a glimpse into the spirit behind the party. For the couple, the celebration is not simply another date on Bollywood's festive calendar but an opportunity to spend time with the people who have become part of their lives in Mumbai. And judging by Tahira's account, the festivities continued well into the early hours.

This year's gathering also came at an exciting moment for Ayushmann, whose latest film, Udta Teer, arrived in cinemas around the same time. The actor was therefore celebrating both the festive season and the release of his new project.

The film marks the directorial debut of Akash A Kaushik and brings Ayushmann together with Sara Ali Khan in a spy-comedy. Its ensemble cast includes Rahul Bose, Ram Kapoor, Suhail Nayyar, Gulshan Grover, Mukul Dev, Raghubir Yadav, Brijendra Kala, Sandeep Anand, Supriya Pilgaonkar and Smita Tambe.

Produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain, the film marks another collaboration between Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment.

With friends filling their home, the dance floor staying busy and a new film arriving in theatres, the evening gave the Khurranas plenty to celebrate. More than the designer outfits or the impressive guest list, however, Tahira's post captured something familiar about Diwali: the pleasure of being surrounded by people who make a place feel like home.
