The horror genre in Bollywood is gearing up for another chilling chapter as producer Anand Pandit and director Vikram Bhatt reunite for their latest venture Haunted 3D sequel, officially titled Haunted 3D: Ghosts Of The Past. The makers have unveiled a motion poster along with the confirmed theatrical release date of 12 June 2026, setting the stage for a summer scarefest.

The announcement marks another collaboration between the duo after 1920: Horrors Of The Heart, continuing Vikram Bhatt’s long-standing association with supernatural storytelling in Indian cinema. Known for shaping modern Bollywood horror, Bhatt once again aims to push the genre forward, this time with upgraded 3D technology designed to intensify the cinematic experience.

The film is being promoted as a visually enhanced horror ride, promising a more immersive and technically advanced version of fear. The idea is simple but ambitious — make audiences feel every shadow, every whisper, and every jump scare in full 3D intensity. The motion poster hints at this eerie tone with dark visuals and unsettling atmosphere building around the supernatural theme.

The cast includes Mimoh Chakraborty, returning to the horror space, alongside Chetna Pande, Shruti Prakash, Gaurav Bajpai, Praneet Bhatt, and Hemant Pandey. The ensemble brings together familiar faces from television and cinema, adding to the film’s layered appeal.

Backed by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures in association with Promoedge Media, the film is co-produced by multiple partners including Roopa Pandit, Dilip Jaiswal, Rahul V Dubey, Manish Bhushan Mishra, and Sanjay Singh. The project also handles worldwide distribution under the same banner, indicating a wide theatrical rollout.

Interestingly, the film has already seen multiple release date changes in the past, including earlier slots in 2025 and early 2026, before finally locking in June 12, 2026. Despite delays, the makers are clearly confident about the final product and its upgraded horror presentation.

While early reactions online have been mixed, with some questioning the visual quality of the motion poster, the franchise still carries recognition among horror fans familiar with Vikram Bhatt’s earlier work. With Haunted 3D, the team is clearly betting on nostalgia, technology, and theatrical 3D immersion to bring audiences back into the genre.

Whether it becomes a revival of Bollywood horror or just another entry in the genre, one thing is certain — Haunted 3D is aiming to make the big screen feel a lot more frightening.
