Day 3 of the Bombay Times Fashion Week 2026 saw a stunning display of talent and tradition as Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh graced the runway as the showstopper for students of NIF Global Navi Mumbai. Closing the showcase, Chitrangada brought “effortless grace and quiet power” to the stage, leaving fashion enthusiasts and attendees mesmerized.
The student designers’ collection celebrated Maratha heritage and creativity, featuring original designs entirely conceptualized and crafted by the NIF Global students. Chitrangada’s poise and elegance amplified the impact of the showcase, highlighting the intricate detailing and vibrant storytelling of the collection.
In a heartwarming finale, Chitrangada walked alongside the student designers, including Saloni Shivsekar, symbolizing the culmination of their efforts and adding a professional polish to their debut showcase. Her presence elevated the event, making it a memorable highlight of the three-day fashion week.
On the work front, Chitrangada Singh will next be seen in the patriotic war drama Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, originally titled Battle of Galwan. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced under the Salman Khan Films, the film is inspired by the true events of the 2020 Galwan Valley clash and focuses on the human side of conflict, emphasizing empathy and peace.
The film also stars Salman Khan and marks the major comeback of veteran actor Govinda, reuniting him with Salman Khan. The soundtrack features a title track and “Chand Dekh Lena,” with vocals by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, composed by Himesh Reshammiya, promising a mix of patriotic emotion and musical depth.
