Tamil actor Vishal has officially announced his next project, titled Vishal 35, marking a fresh chapter in his career and a milestone for the production house backing it. The film, which is the 99th venture from the iconic Super Good Films banner led by R.B. Choudary, was launched with a traditional puja ceremony. Sharing photos from the event, Vishal expressed excitement about collaborating for the first time with director Ravi Arasu and actress Dushara Vijayan, known for her acclaimed performance in Sarpatta Parambarai (2021).
The announcement comes on the heels of Vishal’s January 2025 release Madha Gaja Raja, which garnered mixed reviews but managed a respectable $1.2 million in global box office earnings. Despite fluctuations in box office performance—especially in the Telugu market—Vishal remains a dependable action star in Tamil cinema, with a loyal fanbase and a track record of working with technically strong teams.
Vishal 35 reunites the actor with key collaborators including cinematographer Richard M. Nathan and music director G.V. Prakash Kumar. The latter’s involvement is especially notable, as his music has consistently resonated with audiences; over 75% of his 2023–2024 Tamil scores have been rated 3.5/5 or higher on IMDb. The technical crew also includes editor Srikanth N.B., production designer G. Durairaj, and stylist Vasuki Bhaskar, suggesting a high-quality, commercially driven film in the making.
The first schedule of the film—a 45-day shoot—is currently underway in Chennai, with Vishal citing “full-on positivity” and strong support from a “lovely cast and crew.” While no further details about the plot have been revealed, the project has already sparked interest due to the legacy of Super Good Films, a company known for launching major careers and producing consistent hits. With the combination of seasoned technicians and a fresh directorial pairing, Vishal 35 is shaping up to be a significant film to watch in the upcoming Tamil cinema slate.
