Priyanka Chaudhary Raina has offered a refreshing perspective on marriage, motherhood and managing a professional life while raising children with former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina. Appearing on Mom Talks: Maa Ki Baat – Maa Ke Jazbaat Season 2, hosted by Parineeti Chopra, Priyanka spoke about balancing her entrepreneurial responsibilities with the demands of raising their two children, Gracia and Rio. Rather than describing her experience as a struggle, she highlighted the importance of having a supportive partner who encourages her ambitions and remains actively involved in family life.

During the conversation, Priyanka was asked whether it was difficult to raise the children while Suresh was busy with cricket and she was managing her business. She responded positively, explaining that her husband's support had made a significant difference. “Oh, not at all—it’s actually wonderful. In fact, I’ve learned so many things from him. First and foremost, he supports me in everything I do. Secondly, he encourages me a great deal; whatever I undertake, he always urges me to keep trying and to move forward. And, perhaps most importantly, he also offers constructive criticism when it’s needed—because hearing feedback from someone you truly trust is invaluable,” she said. Her words highlighted how encouragement and honest feedback can help partners grow both personally and professionally.

Priyanka also addressed whether she sometimes feels as though she is raising the children like a single mother because of Suresh's demanding cricket schedule. She made it clear that this was not the case, emphasising that her husband remains involved and informed about the family's daily life. “As for whether I have to manage things like a single mother—well, not exactly 'single,' as he is very much involved. He stays well-informed about everything that’s going on,” she explained. Her response offered a glimpse into how the couple manages their responsibilities, even when professional commitments require them to divide their time between different priorities.

One of the biggest challenges, Priyanka revealed, is keeping up with the children's increasingly busy schedules. Between school, sports and extracurricular activities, Gracia and Rio have plenty to keep them occupied. She explained that maintaining a structured routine is essential to ensuring they have opportunities to learn, explore and develop new interests. “It’s essential to keep their routines well-structured. We make sure they’re engaged in activities where they can learn and grow, rather than just sitting in front of the TV or other digital devices. That’s how I approach it,” she said. Her approach reflects the importance she places on active learning, healthy routines and keeping children engaged beyond screens.

Beyond her role as a mother, Priyanka has built a professional identity of her own. A former IT professional and banker, she has worked with companies including Accenture and Wipro, as well as ING in the Netherlands. She later became involved in initiatives focused on maternal and child well-being, co-founding the Gracia Raina Foundation and the mom-and-baby wellness brand Maate. She has also explored conversations around motherhood and family life through projects such as Maatehood and The Priyanka Raina Show. Her journey reflects the multiple roles she balances, from entrepreneurship and social initiatives to parenting, while continuing to develop her own professional interests.

Priyanka and Suresh married on April 3, 2015, and have since built a family together while pursuing their respective careers. Their conversation on Mom Talks offers a relatable reminder that parenting is not about one partner carrying every responsibility alone, but about communication, encouragement and teamwork. Hosted by Parineeti Chopra, the second season of Mom Talks: Maa Ki Baat – Maa Ke Jazbaat explores motherhood, child well-being and modern family dynamics through personal experiences and expert insights. The season is scheduled to premiere in November 2026 on ZEE5 and the BULLET Microdrama app, with several celebrity parents expected to share their own perspectives on family life.
