At the teaser launch of 120 Bahadur, actress Raashii Khanna captured hearts not just with her presence in the film, but with her heartfelt words about why this project holds deep meaning for her. Though her role in the war drama is a special appearance, it’s one she calls powerful, layered, and emotionally demanding.
“There’s a certain vulnerability in this character, but also immense grit. It wasn’t easy to play. The silences between the dialogues, the emotional restraint, and the unspoken chemistry with Farhan sir—it all came from a very real place,” said Raashii at the event.
She thanked Farhan Akhtar, her co-star, for being “an amazing collaborator,” and director Razy Ghai, for choosing her. “I believe this film chose me. It reminded me why I became an actor—to tell stories that matter,” she said, adding that she hadn't heard of the story until it came to her. “Once I did, I knew it needed to be shown on the big screen.”
120 Bahadur is inspired by the real-life Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 Indo-China war, where 120 Indian soldiers bravely held their ground against a massive Chinese force. The film pays tribute to these unsung heroes, bringing to light a chapter of history that has long deserved cinematic attention.
While Raashii makes a special appearance, the film marks the debut of Sparsh Walia in a leading role. The cast also includes Ajinkya Ramesh Deo, Vivan Bhathena, Eijaz Khan, Ankit Siwach, and more. Backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, along with Amit Chandrra’s Trigger Happy Studios, the film is set to release in theatres on November 21.
