King Shah Rukh Khan added yet another global feather to his cap as he was honoured with the Global Style Icon Award at the inaugural Dubai Mall Global Fashion Awards on January 30, 2026. The grand ceremony, held at the luxurious Armani Hotel Dubai, marked the finale of the two-day Dubai Mall Festival of Fashion and celebrated icons who have shaped global culture and style.

The prestigious award was presented by Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar Properties, acknowledging Shah Rukh Khan’s unmatched influence on fashion, cinema, and international entertainment. With a career spanning over three decades and more than 100 films, SRK’s impact goes far beyond the silver screen, making him a natural choice for the global honour.

True to his personality, the 59-year-old superstar kept things light and charming during his acceptance speech. Joking about his fashion credentials, Shah Rukh quipped that he knows very little about style and usually sticks to his trusted “blue jeans and a white shirt.” The modest response only reinforced why his effortless charm continues to define timeless style across generations.

Adding to the star power of the evening, renowned designer Manish Malhotra, a long-time collaborator and close friend of SRK, was honoured with the Couture Designer of the Year award. Their shared presence highlighted a creative partnership that has significantly shaped Bollywood fashion over the years.

The recognition also strengthens Shah Rukh Khan’s long-standing relationship with Dubai. Already serving as the brand ambassador for Dubai Tourism, the award further cements his cultural and emotional connect with the city, where his popularity rivals that of global Hollywood icons.

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next big-screen spectacle, King, a high-octane action thriller directed by Siddharth Anand. Scheduled for a Christmas release on December 24, 2026, the film stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Abhishek Bachchan, and boasts a reported ₹350 crore budget, including a massive action sequence shot in Europe. From style to stardom, King Khan continues to rule—effortlessly.
