When two Khans share the same stage, you know the laughs are going to be as loud as the applause. At the special screening of Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par in Mumbai last night, it wasn’t just the emotional film that moved the audience — it was Salman Khan’s signature wit that stole the spotlight.
Gracing the event in his usual dapper style, Salman Khan didn’t miss the chance to poke fun at old friend Aamir. “I told him, it’s a good film and I want to do this film, for sure,” Salman quipped with a grin. “And Aamir was like, ‘Even I want to do this film, but I have already done a film like this, so it will suit you’... nothing happened.”
Quick to defend himself, Aamir laughed and countered, “He is lying! It is not possible that Salman says he wants to do a film and I won’t let him!”
Of course, it was all in good humor — the kind of playful back-and-forth that only decades of friendship can bring. Despite the leg-pulling, Salman wrapped it up on a heartfelt note: “It’s an outstanding film. Outstanding.”
The camaraderie between the two superstars lit up the evening almost as much as the film itself, which has been stirring conversations with its sensitive theme and performances.
Bhaijaan banter + a dose of drama = a quintessential Bollywood evening.
