In a warm gesture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his congratulations to Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna on the occasion of their wedding, scheduled for February 26, 2026, in Udaipur. The ceremony at ITC Momentos is set to be an intimate affair with close friends and family in attendance.
Addressing Vijay Deverakonda’s parents, Madhavi and Goverdhan Rao, PM Modi wrote, “It is a pleasure to be invited by you to the wedding of Vijay and Rashmika to be held on 26 February 2026. The Prime Minister described the wedding as a “significant milestone,” noting, “It marks the beginning of a new, beautiful chapter in the lives of Vijay and Rashmika. With the spirit of sakha saptpada bhava, meaning having taken seven steps together, the couple become friends for life.” He also reflected on the couple’s professional journeys, remarking, “Neither Vijay, nor Rashmika is new to scripts in their films. The wedding celebrations began with a sangeet on February 24, followed by haldi and mehndi ceremonies on February 25. Reports indicate that the wedding will include two ceremonies to honor the traditions of both families, blending cultural rituals with modern celebrations.
PM Modi also wished the couple a fulfilling future, saying, “May the days, months and years to come be filled with shared dreams and their fulfilment.
