Actor Tridha Choudhury is all set to take on one of the most intense roles of her career in the upcoming crime thriller So Long Valley, slated for theatrical release on 25th July 2025. Produced by Sourya Studios and directed by Man Singh, who also wrote the story and dialogues, the film delves deep into the psychological and societal facets of crime—and the woman at the heart of it.

In So Long Valley, Tridha plays Inspector Suman Negi, a woman of action whose instincts, rather than just her uniform, guide her pursuit of justice.

Speaking about the film, Tridha explained that So Long Valley is rooted in the current societal climate, where crime stories flood our newsfeeds and headlines daily. "It’s a very relatable film. It’s a crime thriller, and today, we’re constantly reading crime stories—in newspapers, on social media. Awareness is the real issue. Our film talks a lot about that."

Reflecting on her experience during the shoot, Tridha emphasized the importance of a peaceful and disciplined work environment. “A calm set is a great set. You can't get good work done amid chaos and shouting. If someone’s yelling, that environment doesn’t allow for productivity. The set of this film was very well-organized. The captain of the ship has to be firm, and that was the case here.”

Tridha’s portrayal of Inspector Suman Negi is nuanced—not just a cop in uniform, but a character driven by her emotional intelligence and internal compass. “I don’t believe in the word ‘women empowerment.’ I believe women are already powerful—you don’t need to add 'empowerment.' I relate deeply to women’s instincts. Many times, people just do their duty because they have to. But as Inspector Suman Negi, I believed in solving the case. It wasn’t just about being a cop in uniform; we showed that she remained true to her feminine instincts.”

Having made a mark in television and OTT, Tridha reflects on her evolving journey as an actor.“You have to unlearn a lot. Something you learned five years ago may no longer be applicable today. There’s no school of acting—your personal journey and professional life go hand in hand. As artists, we crave opportunities to act, to learn through our craft.”
