Netflix India has officially dropped the poster and trailer for Bridgerton Season 4, instantly igniting excitement among fans worldwide. Adding a fun local flavour to the announcement, the streaming giant captioned the post with iconic Hindi film lyrics, “Doli saja ke rakhna, chehra chhupa ke rakhna,” cleverly blending Bollywood romance with the show’s signature masquerade mystery. The creative fusion has struck a chord with Indian audiences, making the reveal trend rapidly across social media.

The newly released poster features a masked woman, symbolising hidden identities and secret love, a central theme of the upcoming season. The visual aligns perfectly with the romantic intrigue that Bridgerton is known for, while also teasing the season’s core storyline rooted in disguise, destiny, and desire. Netflix has confirmed that Season 4 will follow a split-release format, with Part 1 streaming on January 29, 2026, and Part 2 arriving on February 26, 2026, exclusively on the platform.

Season 4 shifts the spotlight to Benedict Bridgerton, the family’s second son, played by Luke Thompson. Known as a charming rake reluctant to settle down, Benedict’s world turns upside down when he meets the mysterious “Lady in Silver,” Sophie Baek, portrayed by Yerin Ha. Their romance begins at Violet Bridgerton’s grand masquerade ball, where Sophie appears in disguise, captivates Benedict, and vanishes at midnight, setting the stage for a Cinderella-inspired love story.

The season is based on Julia Quinn’s third novel, An Offer From a Gentleman, and promises a rich blend of romance, longing, and social tension. Sophie Baek is introduced as a resourceful lady’s maid with a hidden past, navigating rigid class structures while holding onto her dreams. Benedict’s journey from carefree artist to emotionally invested lover forms the emotional backbone of the season.

Several new characters are set to expand the Bridgerton universe further. Katie Leung joins the cast as Lady Araminta Gun, a twice-widowed mother determined to secure advantageous matches for her daughters, Rosamund Li and Posy Li, played by Michelle Mao and Isabella Wei. Their arrival adds fresh conflict and drama to the already vibrant social scene of the ton.

Fan-favourite characters are also returning in full force. Penelope and Colin, Anthony and Kate, Eloise Bridgerton, and Francesca with John Stirling will all continue their stories, ensuring continuity and emotional depth. Additionally, Masali Baduza, Emma Naomi, and Hugh Sachs have been promoted to series regulars, hinting at expanded subplots and deeper character arcs.

Beyond romance, Season 4 will explore multiple parallel storylines, including Francesca and John’s life after their honeymoon, the evolving journey of the Mondrich family, and Eloise Bridgerton stepping into a pivotal role in Benedict’s story. These layered narratives aim to balance sweeping romance with personal growth and societal change.

Early fan reactions have been overwhelmingly enthusiastic, especially praising Netflix India’s clever use of Bollywood nostalgia to promote the series. From playful demands for more desi-style promotions to excitement over Benedict’s long-awaited love story, Bridgerton Season 4 is shaping up to be one of Netflix’s most anticipated releases of 2026.
