Actor Mrunal Thakur has once again captured the hearts of her fans — this time with a stunning behind-the-scenes glimpse from the sets of the much-loved film Seeta Raman. Taking to Instagram, Mrunal posted a series of stills in which she’s seen donning a regal red saree, along with short BTS clips of her dancing during the shoot. The post immediately caught fire on social media, with fans flooding the comment section, praising her elegance, grace, and timeless screen presence.
Fans called her “goddess-like,” and many reminisced about her performance in Seeta Raman, which had left a lasting impression on audiences across the country. She captioned the post as, “Some memories are timeless.”
Released to critical and commercial acclaim, Seeta Raman struck a chord with its emotional storytelling, soulful music, and a heartfelt performance from Mrunal Thakur. Her portrayal of Seeta was widely celebrated, with many calling it one of the most graceful and layered female characters seen in recent Telugu cinema.
While her BTS post has brought back warm memories, Mrunal Thakur has also found herself at the center of online chatter for a very different reason.
Just days ago, an old video of her discussing Bipasha Basu resurfaced, leading to speculation and controversy. Mrunal was quick to clarify that the clip was years old and taken out of context. However, before the dust could settle, yet another past interview clip made its way online — this time sparking rumors of a possible dig at Anushka Sharma.
In the now-viral video, Mrunal speaks about rejecting a film she wasn’t ready for, which eventually became a blockbuster and significantly boosted the career of the actress who replaced her. She said: “It became a super hit and did help the female actress to reach there. But then I realised, if I had done that film at that point, I would have lost myself.” She further added: “Then she is not working at the moment, but I am, is itself a victory... I don’t want instant fame, because anything that comes instantly, goes instantly.” Netizens quickly connected the dots, suggesting Mrunal was referring to Sultan — a film she was initially cast in opposite Salman Khan before being replaced by Anushka Sharma.
Despite the controversies, Mrunal continues to focus on her work. She’s currently juggling multiple projects across Hindi and Telugu cinema.
