The world of Mirzapur- its guns, grudges, and unforgettable gangsters is officially roaring back to life, and this time on the big screen. Ali Fazal, who plays the iconic Guddu Pandit, has sent fans into a frenzy by sharing a candid behind-the-scenes moment from the sets of “Mirzapur: The Movie” in Rajasthan. With just one post, Fazal single-handedly reignited the fire of anticipation that fans have been carrying since the explosive second season dropped.

The photo features a powerhouse lineup: Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Abhishek Banerjee, and the newest curveball addition to the cast—Jitendra Kumar. If the picture is anything to go by, the energy on set is electric and charged with the trademark mischief that turned Mirzapur into a cultural phenomenon.

Sharing the images on Instagram, Ali Fazal added his own cheeky flair by giving a shout-out to the new film 120 Bahadur and teasing fans with an update that practically screams, “Brace yourselves.”
His caption read: “7 idhar, 120 udhar… Cinema gharon mein 120 Bahadur lagi hai dekhiyega. Aur hum? Hum aapki taraf badh rahe hain. Coming Soon in Theatres.”

Just like that, Guddu Bhaiya officially broke the internet—again.

A source close to the film revealed that bringing the original cast back together for a major sequence felt “special,” a sentiment that mirrors how the audience feels about seeing their beloved and feared characters return. The makers are pouring tremendous effort into the film, aiming to expand the Mirzapur universe in a way that feels organic and thrilling. And if Ali’s BTS photo is any indication, this world is only getting bigger, grittier, and more unpredictable.

It’s no exaggeration to say that Mirzapur changed the course of Indian web entertainment. When Season 1 premiered, the series quickly went from a dark crime-thriller to a full-blown pop culture juggernaut. Kaleen Bhaiya became a household name. Guddu Pandit became a rage. Munna Tripathi became a meme legend.

Set in the dusty, dangerous underbelly of Purvanchal, the show cracked open a new genre space—raw, unapologetic, violent, and yet deeply human. Season 2 only fanned the flames. With new rivals, shifting power dynamics, and high-voltage performances, it pushed the storytelling to even bolder territory. For many, it became one of the most addictive Indian series ever made.

So naturally, when news broke that the franchise would shift to a feature film format, the hype skyrocketed.

The addition of Jitendra Kumar best known for Panchayat, Kota Factory, and Jaadugar is easily one of the most surprising and exciting twists. Known for his understated intensity, Jitendra brings a fresh flavour to the gritty Mirzapur universe, and fans are already speculating what kind of character he might play. A new ally? A new enemy? A new wildcard?

With the movie reportedly slated for a 2026 release, the team has plenty of time to fine-tune every element. Meanwhile, fans are clutching onto every piece of information and Ali Fazal just gave them the juiciest one yet.The smiles, the camaraderie, the blood-soaked legacy of Mirzapur all of it is preparing for a cinematic resurrection that promises to be bigger than anything the series has attempted before.

For now, Ali’s message is clear: Sit tight. The kings, the rebels, the monsters, and the madmen of Mirzapur are coming.

And when they do, the theatres will shake.
