Sky TV has dropped the first trailer for its upcoming mini-series The Death of Bunny Munro, and it’s already raising eyebrows. Based on Nick Cave’s cult novel of the same name, the series stars Doctor Who and House of the Dragon alum Matt Smith as the titular Bunny — a sex-addicted, door-to-door beauty product salesman spiraling through grief, guilt, and questionable charm.

Following the sudden death of his wife, Bunny takes his young son on a chaotic road trip across Brighton, using his work as a cover for his increasingly reckless escapades. As the pair navigate seedy motels, strained silences, and Bunny’s growing psychological unraveling, the show promises an unflinching look at masculinity, fatherhood, and decay — both personal and moral.

The cast includes rising star Rafael Mathé as Bunny’s wide-eyed son, along with strong performances expected from Sarah Greene, Johann Myers, Robert Glenister, and Alice Feetham. The series is written and adapted by Pete Jackson (Somewhere Boy) and helmed by Danish director Isabella Eklöf (Holiday), known for her bold and unfiltered storytelling.

With its bleak tone, dark humor, and emotional weight, The Death of Bunny Munro looks to deliver a unique, uncomfortable, and unforgettable ride when it premieres on November 20th, 2025. The trailer alone is a haunting cocktail of sex, sorrow, and surrealism — not for the faint-hearted, but definitely for those who like their TV with bite.
