Marvel Animation has officially dropped the trailer for its upcoming animated series Eyes of Wakanda, a richly stylized, action-packed anthology set in the world of Black Panther. Developed by Ryan Coogler and his Proximity Media banner, the four-part series is set to premiere August 1st, 2025, exclusively on Disney+.
Serving as a spiritual and narrative companion to the Black Panther films, Eyes of Wakanda explores the secret missions of the Hatut Zeraze—elite Wakandan warriors tasked with retrieving stolen vibranium artifacts across time and around the globe. From ancient history to modern conflict zones, each episode promises a unique mission, a different era, and new challenges that test the warriors’ loyalty, skill, and morality.
The series is directed and showrun by artist Todd Harris, whose dynamic visual storytelling style lends the show a distinct identity within the Marvel Animated Universe. The voice cast is as impressive as the concept, featuring Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Larry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Jacques Colimon, Jona Xiao, Zeke Alton, Gary Anthony Williams, Steve Toussaint, and returning Wakanda favorites Danai Gurira and Anika Noni Rose.
From the trailer, Eyes of Wakanda promises a blend of high-stakes espionage, historical intrigue, and emotional depth, framed through Wakanda’s global influence and cultural power. Each episode will dive into a different moment in time, revealing how Wakanda has protected its secrets—and its sacred metal—throughout centuries of turmoil and colonization.
With its elite creative team, striking animation, and ties to the Black Panther legacy, Eyes of Wakanda is positioned to be one of Marvel’s most ambitious animated ventures yet.
