In a landmark moment for cross-cultural cinema, the highly anticipated India-Vietnam collaboration Love in Vietnam held its grand world premiere at the 3rd DaNang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF 2025) on July 1. Hosted at the stunning Ariyana Convention Centre by Furama Resorts in Da Nang, the red-carpet event marked the debut of the first-ever feature co-production between the two nations. The premiere saw an enthusiastic turnout from the cast, crew, and prominent Vietnamese dignitaries, underscoring the growing cinematic bond between India and Vietnam.
Directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi, Love in Vietnam stars Indian actors Shantanu Maheshwari and Avneet Kaur, alongside popular Vietnamese actress Kha Ngan. Blending romance, drama, and cultural nuances, the film aims to explore themes of love and identity across borders. The ensemble cast also includes legendary Indian actors Raj Babbar, Gulshan Grover, and Farida Jalal, as well as Krisheka Patel and several notable figures from Vietnam’s film fraternity.
