Paramount Pictures has released a brand-new featurette for its upcoming reboot of The Naked Gun, giving audiences a first real glimpse at Liam Neeson’s transformation into the absurdly straight-faced Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. Directed by Akiva Schaffer (Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers), the film promises a fresh take on the iconic spoof comedy franchise that originally starred Leslie Nielsen and helped define a generation of slapstick satire.
In this reboot, Neeson—known for his action-heavy “particular set of skills”—leans hard into comedic territory as he steps into the shoes of Drebin’s son, now leading Police Squad in a world just as ridiculous as ever.
