The makers of Kuberaa have announced the postponement of the film’s pre-release event, which was originally scheduled for June 13, 2025, in Hyderabad. This decision comes as a mark of respect following the tragic crash of Air India Flight AI171 on June 12, 2025, near Ahmedabad, a disaster that has left the nation in mourning.
The official X handle of Kuberaa tweeted, “The pre-release event of Kuberaa, scheduled for tomorrow, has been postponed in light of the tragic Ahmedabad flight crash. We stand in solidarity with the grieving families.” This gesture underscores the film industry's sensitivity and solidarity during times of national tragedy.
The crash involved a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, an aircraft model widely recognized for its excellent safety record. According to a 2023 Boeing safety report, over 1,000 Dreamliners have been delivered with a remarkably low fatal accident rate of 0.1 per million flights, making this incident a rare and shocking anomaly.
