Ever since Dhurandhar stormed theatres on December 5, the box office landscape has largely belonged to just one film. The Ranveer Singh starrer has continued to draw crowds weeks after its release, making it tough for new films to find breathing space. Amid this crowded scenario, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, starring Kapil Sharma, arrived in cinemas on December 12 but struggled to leave a mark.
Despite Kapil Sharma’s popularity and the franchise recall, the film failed to generate the expected buzz during its initial theatrical run. With limited screens available and audience attention firmly fixed on Dhurandhar alongside the global pull of Avatar the comedy sequel found itself overshadowed at the box office.
Now, the makers are giving the film a second shot.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh recently confirmed that Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is set for a theatrical re-release in January 2026. Sharing the update, he explained that the film’s earlier run was affected by the dominance of two major releases and limited screen allocation. Taking fan interest into account, producer Ratan Jain has decided to bring the film back to theatres under more favourable conditions. The new release date is expected to be announced soon.
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 marks Kapil Sharma’s return to the big screen in his popular comic avatar. The film builds on the confusion-driven humour that made the first installment a surprise hit, revolving around tangled relationships, misunderstandings, and over-the-top situations designed for mass entertainment. Known primarily for his television success, Kapil has steadily carved a space for himself in cinema with lighthearted, family-friendly comedies.
January has traditionally been a quieter month at the box office, often giving mid-budget and comedy films a better chance to connect with audiences. With the festive rush over and big-ticket releases out of the way, the re-release could allow Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 to find viewers who may have skipped it during its initial run.
