In a smart move to sidestep an intense box-office clash, the makers of Heer Express, the upcoming family dramedy helmed by acclaimed director Umesh Shukla (Oh My God, 102 Not Out), have officially postponed the film’s release. Originally slated for an earlier release window, Heer Express will now hit cinemas on 12th September 2025.

The decision to shift dates comes in light of two major releases — War 2 and Andaaz 2 — set to dominate the box office during the same period. With competition heating up, the team behind Heer Express has opted for a more strategic slot, allowing their heartfelt story to find its audience without being overshadowed by franchise heavyweights.

Heer Express features newcomers Divita Juneja and Pritt Kamani in lead roles, marking their big-screen debut. They are joined by a powerhouse supporting cast including Ashutosh Rana, Gulshan Grover, Sanjay Mishra, and Meghna Malik, promising a film rich in character and emotional depth.

Shot extensively across India and the UK, the film weaves together humor, love, and generational conflict — a signature style of Umesh Shukla, who has a proven track record for delivering thought-provoking yet entertaining cinema. His earlier films, OMG: Oh My God! and 102 Not Out, struck a chord with audiences across demographics, and Heer Express seems poised to do the same.

The film is produced by Umesh Shukla, Ashish Wagh, Mohit Chhabra, and Sanjay Grover, with Sampada Wagh co-producing. With its new release date and promising cast, Heer Express positions itself as a strong contender for a successful theatrical run this September.
