Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, is grabbing headlines for all the right reasons—and at the center of its promotional storm is one electrifying track: “Ghafoor.” As the track continues to dominate reels, playlists, and pop culture chatter, choreographer Farah Khan just added fuel to the fire with a behind-the-scenes post from the set.

Taking to Instagram, Farah shared a series of candid, vibrant images from the shoot, revealing that the high-energy video was pulled off in just one day. Her caption summed it up:

“Just!! What a blast I had shooting #Ghafoor for @aryan even though we had only 1 day to shoot this 😲 Getting so much love for it❤️ [...] JUST Lov uuu @aryan”

“Ghafoor” may technically be a promotional video, but it’s become the face of the series in many ways. Featuring a fiery performance by Tamannaah Bhatia and choreographed with retro-glam energy by Farah Khan, the song pairs swagger with satire. The music video hilariously opens with Bollywood’s most iconic villains—Ranjeet, Shakti Kapoor, and Gulshan Grover—reminiscing about the legend of “Ghafoor,” before Tamannaah crashes the screen with slick dance moves.

What makes the video shine is its playful self-awareness. These so-called “bad guys” of Bollywood aren’t just in on the joke—they’re owning it, one step at a time. The choreography is campy in the best way, the visuals pop with color, and the vibe is unapologetically Bollywood.

And yet—surprisingly—“Ghafoor” isn’t featured in the actual episodes of The Ba**ds of Bollywood*. Instead, the song exists as an outside-the-show promotional piece, functioning like a cheeky music video to build hype. Within the series, only fragments of the track are heard as background score, particularly in sequences involving Arshad Warsi’s character.

The Ba**ds of Bollywood* isn’t just a show—it’s a sharp, stylish, and darkly humorous look into the underbelly of the film industry. Marking Aryan Khan’s streaming debut as creator and director, the show brings together a solid ensemble cast: Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Raghav Juyal, Arshad Warsi among others.

Set in a fictionalized version of Bollywood, the series explores betrayal, ambition, and ego clashes, all wrapped in a pulpy neo-noir style. While the tone is gritty and narrative-heavy, Aryan’s storytelling is sprinkled with moments of satire—like the use of a larger-than-life villain anthem (“Ghafoor”) to comment on the way cinema mythologizes its own monsters.

Farah Khan’s BTS drop simply reinforces how passionate and fast-paced the production was—and how creativity doesn’t need luxury when there’s clarity of vision.

With The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, Aryan Khan has arrived—and so has “Ghafoor” as a cultural moment. Whether you love the show, the song, or the stars dancing in it, one thing’s clear: this is the kind of madness Bollywood fans live for.
