With three major hits—Saiyaara, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, and Mastiii 4, Shaad not only reconnected with the audience but also cemented his presence as one of Bollywood’s most dependable performers.
For Shaad, every project is treated like a turning point. Speaking about his approach to acting, he says,“For me, every film becomes the most important film of my life. Every role is the most important role whether it’s just one scene or a long one. Once I decide I’m doing something, I give myself to it completely. I do everything I know, everything I’m capable of, and I put it all into the role.”
Among his 2025 releases, Saiyaara stood out not just for its storyline but for the unexpected amount of love Shaad received for his brief yet powerful appearance. He recalls being fully aware that his screen time would be limited, but that never changed his commitment.
“In Saiyaara, I knew I would have one or two scenes, maybe four or five shots. But they told me from the beginning that the real challenge was to become that character completely. I had to look very different—something I’d never looked like before. So the effort went into the look, the body language… everything. It was a very brief role, but the hard work paid off. People noticed me. More than anything, Saiyaara made people say, ‘Oh, that’s him.’” Gratefulness flows easily from Shaad as he speaks about the team that believed in him. “I’m very thankful to Mohit Suri, and to Shanoo Sharma, YRF’s casting director. Their trust means a lot.”
Talking about his second big impact of the year, Shaad expresses his appreciation for the people who shaped the film.“For Deewaniyat, I’m grateful to the producers and to director Milap Zaveri. I’ve been very lucky to get the chance to work with such teams and with Harsh as well.”
