At the launch of Electric Mobility brand Exelmoto, Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty opened up about the importance of family and the special bond he shares with his granddaughter, Evaaraah.
When asked about the definition of “Family Pride,” Suniel didn’t hesitate to speak from the heart. He said, “My granddaughter, Evaarah, she is pride for me. She has changed everything for us, she is one who is bringing the family together. Our entire priorities have changed, like the old saying goes, Maul Se Sout Pyara Hota Hai, I think I am realizing it now. She is bond that bond everything. Right now I am trying to hurry things up because by 6:30 PM she will go to sleep, so right now I am trying to calculate how much time I will get to spend with her after the traffic, I think she just holds you together, she holds us together as family, and I want to see her the first thing in morning. KL Rahul and Athiya have shifted in the same building, so that is good thing. Now Ahaan is in the same building, I am there, Rahul is also there, so it’s good.”
Evaaraah, the daughter of Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul, was born on March 24, 2025, and Athiya introduced her on Instagram as a “Gift of God.” Suniel’s heartfelt words highlight how the young child has become the central figure in keeping the Shetty-Rahul household closely knit. The actor emphasized how family priorities and routines now revolve around Evaaraah, showing the transformative power of love and togetherness.
Living in the same building as KL Rahul, Athiya, and Suniel’s son Ahaan has made family life even more connected. Suniel shared how the proximity allows them to stay engaged in each other’s lives. “KL Rahul and Athiya have shifted in the same building, so that is good thing. Now Ahaan is in the same building, I am there, Rahul is also there, so it’s good,” he said, showing the joy of multi-generational family bonding.
Adding a lighter touch to the event, Suniel was asked which actor he would love to ride with on an Exelmoto scooter. He replied with his signature humor, “Well it’s a simple seater, I cannot take anyone on it. But if I really must take someone, I will ask Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar to go on a ride with me on these scooters.”
