Filmmaker Hansal Mehta, known for his uncompromising storytelling, is back with a new Netflix series titled Family Business. The show explores high-stakes corporate intrigue within India’s largest conglomerate and marks a reunion of some of the finest talent in Bollywood, including Anil Kapoor, Vijay Varma, and Rhea Chakraborty. The launch event brought the entire ensemble together, celebrating the spirit of ambition and creativity behind the project.
Speaking about his vision for the series and his approach as a director, Hansal Mehta said, “Ambition is always ambition. And that means ambition should always prevail. This show symbolizes that, you know, at any cost, you must be ambitious. Your ambition should be bigger than anything else. Even if Netflix gives you a smaller budget, your ambition should be bigger than that.”
The series centers on Jeh Davar (Anil Kapoor), a visionary billionaire who mentors rising tycoon Sid Mehta (Vijay Varma) as his successor. But when Davar unexpectedly fires Mehta months later, tensions escalate into a full-blown corporate war, where personal vendettas, power struggles, and long-buried secrets collide. The show promises a thrilling mix of strategy, emotion, and high-octane drama.
