Ajay Devgn recently took to social media to congratulate his co-star, R. Madhavan, for winning the Best Actor in a Negative Role at the 2025 Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival. Madhavan received the honor for his chilling performance as a sinister tantric in the 2024 horror thriller Shaitaan.
Devgn, who starred alongside Madhavan in the film, tweeted: "They say devil is in the details, and you have nailed each one of them with your performance! Congrats @ActorMadhavan on winning the Dadasaheb Phalke award for #Shaitaan."
Shaitaan, directed by Vikas Bahl, was a commercial success, grossing over ₹215 crore worldwide. The film was widely praised for its gripping storyline, which revolves around black magic and family peril. While Devgn played the heroic father fighting to protect his family, Madhavan's portrayal of the malevolent tantric added a layer of psychological horror to the film, making him a standout antagonist.
