Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has joined the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) as the owner of its newly launched Ahmedabad franchise. ISPL, India’s pioneering tennis-ball T10 cricket league launched in 2024, is backed by visionary leaders including cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and Cabinet Minister Ashish Shelar. Ajay Devgn, known for his love of cricket and strategic investments in tennis, MMA, and cricket, participated in the ISPL press meet alongside Tendulkar, expressing his excitement about the platform which discovers and nurtures grassroots talent.
Devgn emphasized Ahmedabad’s rich sporting culture and said his goal is to help bring new cricketing heroes to the forefront through this innovative league. ISPL’s third season will also feature Bollywood superstar Salman Khan owning the Delhi franchise, joining a star-studded group of team owners that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Hrithik Roshan. Their presence boosts the league’s visibility and popularity, expanding its pan-India reach.
The league’s professional format is transforming tennis-ball cricket by providing a highly competitive stage for players across 101 cities, making it the fastest growing cricketing platform.
