Prime Video has finally unveiled the full official trailer of Spider-Noir, and it’s already turning heads for its bold, moody reimagining of the Marvel universe. Based on the comic arc Spider-Man: Noir #1, the series brings a vintage, noir-style twist to the Spider-Man mythos, blending crime drama with superhero legacy in a visually striking 1930s New York setting.

At the center of the story is Nicolas Cage, who stars as Ben Reilly, also known as “The Spider.” This alternate version of Spider-Man is not the typical youthful hero fans are used to—instead, he’s an aging, world-weary private investigator haunted by his past life as the city’s only masked protector. After stepping away from heroism due to a personal tragedy, he is forced back into action when old dangers resurface in a corrupt and crime-ridden New York.

The series features a strong supporting cast including Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robertson, Li Jun Li as Cat Hardy, Karen Rodriguez, Lukas Haas, Brendan Gleeson as Silvermane, Jack Huston as Flint Marko, alongside Abraham Popoola, Andrew Lewis Caldwell, and Jack Mikesell. Each character adds to the layered, gritty world that defines this noir-inspired superhero universe.

Spider-Noir is created and developed by writer Oren Uziel, with a writing team that includes Steve Lightfoot, Christopher Chen, Jennifer Frazin, Jack Henderson, Megan Liao, Bruce Marshall Romans, and Tori Sampson. The series is directed by Harry Bradbeer, known for his distinct visual storytelling style that perfectly complements the show’s dark, atmospheric tone.

The official synopsis follows Ben Reilly as he navigates the harsh realities of 1930s New York, a city drowning in crime, corruption, and shadows from his own past. Forced to confront his identity as both a detective and a former superhero, his journey becomes a gripping blend of personal redemption and moral conflict.

Interestingly, this version of Spider-Man is inspired by the multiverse concept seen in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, where the noir variant first gained popularity among fans for his trench coat, fedora, and monochrome world.

With its stylized visuals, intense storytelling, and Nicolas Cage leading the charge, Spider-Noir is shaping up to be one of Prime Video’s most ambitious Marvel adaptations yet. The series is slated for release on May 27, 2026, and expectations are already sky-high.
