The Welcome To The Jungle trailer launch turned into a celebration of friendship, laughter, and mutual admiration as the film's massive ensemble cast gathered in Mumbai to interact with the media. Among the many memorable moments from the event, Arshad Warsi's heartfelt praise for co-star Akshay Kumar stood out, with the actor applauding Akshay's natural comic instincts both on and off screen.
When asked whose sense of humor impressed him the most while working on the film, Arshad made it clear that every member of the cast brought something special to the table. However, having worked with Akshay Kumar on previous projects, he admitted that he has always admired the superstar's ability to inject humor into a scene, even beyond what is written on paper.
Sharing his thoughts, Arshad said, “Oh boy! I think everyone here has a great sense of humor—everyone is sitting right here. You know them all very well. But I’ve worked with Paaji on a couple of projects, so I’m familiar with his sense of humor. And I think Akshay’s sense of humor is excellent, both on-screen and off-screen. There’s the kind of spontaneous humor that comes out while shooting, and then there’s the aspect of visualizing a scene and figuring out how to make it funny—which is often a director’s or writer’s job—but I think he has a great instinct for that too. Overall, though, I’ve really enjoyed working with the entire cast; they are wonderful people. To me, that matters a bit more than being a great actor or anything like that—it’s important that people are good, because you have to spend time with them, and when the atmosphere is good, the time spent becomes enjoyable. I’ve had a wonderful time with these people; I love them all.”
Beyond praising Akshay, Arshad also spoke about the friendships he formed during the making of the film. The actor revealed that despite spending over three decades in the entertainment industry, Welcome To The Jungle introduced him to a new friend in producer Firoz A. Nadiadwala. Speaking warmly about the producer, Arshad said, “I’ve made some very good friends, and I made a new friend on this film: Firoz Bhai. I think he’s one of the sweetest guys I’ve ever met—truly, genuinely nice. So, after 30 years in the industry, I met someone new and made a new friend, which is great.”
Directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome To The Jungle combines comedy, action, and chaos on a grand scale. The story follows a group of actors who are mistaken for real soldiers by villagers near the border and are expected to protect them from a dangerous gang led by Jackie Shroff. At the center of the madness is Akshay Kumar's character, who repeatedly reminds everyone that he is merely an actor and not a real-life action hero.
