Ektaa Kapoor has just given television and OTT fans a reason to celebrate. The producer and content czar has announced the return of two popular shows, Haq Se and Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain, with new seasons in the works. The announcement comes as Balaji Telefilms joins hands with YouTube in an ambitious storytelling collaboration that aims to take Indian stories beyond traditional screens and straight into living rooms across the world.
Taking to social media, Ektaa shared her excitement about the new partnership and wrote, “Every story starts with a feeling that stays with you long after the screen fades to black. Today, we take that feeling to a whole new canvas. We’re partnering with YouTube to bring storytelling straight to your living rooms. Can’t wait to build, experiment and tell endless stories to the world! Subscribe to The Indian KDrramas YouTube Channel” With that one announcement, Ektaa has opened the door to a fresh digital chapter for some of her much-loved storytelling properties.
For fans of Haq Se, the news is particularly exciting. The show, which featured Rajeev Khandelwal and Aamna Sharif, developed a loyal audience with its emotional storytelling and complicated relationships. Now, the announcement of Haq Se Season 2 has brought back plenty of nostalgia while also raising the big question — will the original cast return, and what new twists will the next chapter bring?
Adding to the excitement is the return of Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain, which has been confirmed for a fourth season. The relationship drama stars Ronit Roy, Mona Singh and Gurdeep Kohli, who have already become closely associated with the show’s layered portrayal of love, marriage and complicated emotional choices. With another season on the way, viewers can expect more relationship drama, difficult decisions and the kind of messy emotions that made the series such a talking point.
The collaboration also signals an interesting shift in how Ektaa Kapoor and Balaji Telefilms are looking at digital storytelling. Under the new arrangement, Ektaa will lead the creative vision and retain ownership of the intellectual property, while YouTube will provide global distribution along with monetisation opportunities through advertising and brand partnerships. The idea could give these stories a much wider reach, allowing audiences outside India to discover the drama and emotions that have long been a part of Ektaa’s storytelling universe.
And there is more coming from this creative partnership. Phir Pyar Ki Yeh Kahani Suno is also currently in development, suggesting that Ektaa’s YouTube slate is not simply about reviving familiar favourites but also creating fresh stories for a digital-first audience. With Haq Se Season 2, Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain Season 4 and a new project already taking shape, Ektaa Kapoor appears ready to turn the Indian drama game into a much bigger global conversation — one story, one screen and one YouTube click at a time.
