For Isha Malviya, making her Bollywood debut is about much more than stepping in front of the camera for a Hindi film. It is also a moment to look back at the people who stood by her when her dreams seemed difficult to achieve. As she prepares for the release of Tum Mere Ho, starring alongside Gurmeet Choudhary, the actress opened up about her mother’s unwavering support, the family members who believed in her ambitions and the challenges she faced while finding her place in the entertainment industry. Her heartfelt recollections reveal the personal story behind a milestone she has long dreamed of reaching.
During an interview, Isha was asked about her mother’s emotions and the role she had played through every high and low of her daughter’s journey. The actress immediately revealed that it was a subject close to her heart. “Well, you’ve brought up a topic I could talk about for months, even years, without stopping,” she said, before sharing a family story she had never spoken about publicly. According to Isha, only three people in her family supported her decision to enter the entertainment industry: her mother, her father and her paternal uncle, Akash, who now lives in the United States.
Isha recalled a conversation with her uncle when she was around 14 or 15 years old. At a time when pursuing a career in modelling could have seemed uncertain, he encouraged her to follow her interests without feeling pressured. She remembered him saying, “There’s no pressure. Do whatever you want to do. If you feel you have the qualities of a model, then go ahead with modelling—there’s no issue at all.” His support went beyond encouragement, as he also offered to help financially if she encountered difficulties along the way. For a young girl trying to understand whether her ambitions could become reality, that reassurance meant a great deal.
Looking back, Isha recognises how important those early words of encouragement were. Her mother, father and uncle were not simply cheering her on from the sidelines; they were the people who helped her believe that a future in entertainment was possible. “These three individuals, who have been crucial to my journey since day one—and remain just as important today—are the ones feeling the proudest,” she shared. The actress described the moment as a turning point in her personal journey, adding, “I feel that, in a way, my journey has now come full circle, and I am truly, incredibly happy about it.”
Isha began her journey as a child model and went on to win titles including Miss Madhya Pradesh in 2017 and Miss Teen India Worldwide in 2019. She subsequently built her career through television, modelling, music videos and reality shows. Her role in Udaariyaan brought her widespread recognition, while her appearance on Bigg Boss 17 further raised her public profile. She has also ventured into digital entertainment with the web series Lovely Lolla and established a substantial social media following.
Now, Isha is preparing to take another significant step with Tum Mere Ho, directed by Ashish Panda and co-starring Gurmeet Choudhary. The romantic drama is scheduled to release in cinemas on October 23, 2026, marking her major commercial Hindi film debut. For Isha, the release represents not only professional progress but also a chance to celebrate the family members who stood beside her from the beginning. As she moves into this new chapter, her story serves as a reminder that behind many big dreams are a few people who believe in them before the rest of the world does.
