The wait for Bigg Boss 20 is getting bigger, bolder and a whole lot stranger! The makers have finally unveiled the first visuals of the much-awaited Bigg Boss 20 house, and going by the new design, contestants are clearly not walking into an ordinary reality-show house this time. With a theme built around duality and the intriguing concept of “Tathas-two”, the latest season promises to make contestants question what they see at almost every turn.
While the iconic elements that make the Bigg Boss house instantly recognisable are still present, the makers have given the space a major creative makeover. Two of the biggest talking points are Room No 2 and Room No 20, which appear to be designed to add an extra layer of mystery to the game. The duality concept runs throughout the property, creating a world where familiar objects suddenly have completely unexpected purposes.
And then comes the giant teapot! In one of the quirkiest design choices, a huge teapot appears to pour directly into a couch, transforming a simple kitchen object into a rather unusual seating area. Elsewhere, a magnificent octopus can be seen holding chess pieces in its tentacles, perfectly combining the unpredictability of the ocean with the calculated strategy of the Bigg Boss game. A hot-air balloon has also been transformed into a cosy seating area, while a surreal tap with flowers growing out of it adds another dreamy touch to the house.
The madness continues outside as well. The Bigg Boss 20 house features a swimming pool, workout area, lawn and several striking visual elements designed to keep the contestants surrounded by surprises. The kitchen has also received its own colourful identity, with “BB Food Truck” taking centre stage. Meanwhile, the living area carries some cryptic messages including “Make every life count”, “Tathas 2” and “Inn Deewaron Ke Aankhein Hain” — because, as every Bigg Boss fan knows, those walls have a habit of knowing everything!
Explaining the creative vision behind the new house, art director Varsha Jain said, “We wanted to explore the idea of duality by taking objects and symbols that audiences instantly recognise and reimagining them in unexpected ways so that a teapot becomes a couch, an octopus becomes a chess player, and a hot-air balloon becomes a space to gather.” The statement perfectly captures what the makers appear to be aiming for this season — a house that is not merely a backdrop, but another character in the game.
With the house finally revealed, attention now shifts to the biggest question of all: who is entering it? Salman Khan is returning as host, and fans are already eagerly waiting for the contestant lineup to be announced. With the unusual house design, the duality theme and the mysterious “Tathas-two” concept setting the tone, Bigg Boss Season 20 is ready to bring another round of drama, alliances, betrayals, romance and chaos. The season premieres on September 6 on JioHotstar and Colors, and if the house is anything to go by, this year’s game is going to look very different indeed.
