Bollywood heartthrob Varun Dhawan was spotted at Mumbai airport early this morning, turning heads in an effortlessly cool all-black look. The film, directed by his father David Dhawan, is reportedly a nostalgic nod to the golden era of 90s Bollywood rom-coms. The title is inspired by the peppy track “Ishq Sona Hai” from the 1999 hit Biwi No.1, which also starred Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Sushmita Sen — and was, in fact, helmed by David Dhawan himself.

In yet another high-profile project, Varun will step into the role of Param Vir Chakra awardee Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya in Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh. The film is the official sequel to the iconic 1997 war epic and boasts an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. The film is expected to be a patriotic, action-packed tribute to Indian armed forces and one of the biggest productions on the horizon.
