Actor Shreyas Talpade recently opened up about working with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including Aryan Khan and Rohit Shetty. During a promotional event for his upcoming film The India Story, the actor spoke about whether he would be interested in working under Aryan Khan's direction and also shared his thoughts on returning to the much-loved Golmaal franchise with Rohit Shetty.
Aryan Khan, son of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, recently made his directorial debut with The Ba*ds of Bollywood, receiving attention for his fresh approach and storytelling style. When Shreyas was asked if he would like to collaborate with Aryan as a director, the actor expressed his openness to the idea. "Why not? You know, considering the scale of his projects and the love he has received... why not? If he comes up with something interesting that suits me—why not?" Shreyas Talpade said.
The actor also spoke highly about the upcoming fifth installment of Rohit Shetty's popular Golmaal franchise. Having been an important part of the comedy series since its earlier chapters, Shreyas shared his admiration for Rohit's dedication and the responsibility he carries while creating a film that has developed a massive fan following over the years. "The film has a massive, distinct fan base. A huge one—especially among children. It’s a collective responsibility, but I think Rohit, being the captain of the ship, bears the greatest responsibility," Shreyas said.
Talking about Rohit Shetty's filmmaking process, Shreyas revealed that the director never takes the success of previous films for granted. He explained that Rohit continues to put in the same amount of effort and creativity even after delivering multiple blockbuster hits. "I’ve seen him work; he doesn't have an attitude like, 'Oh, four Golmaal films have been blockbusters, so this one will naturally succeed too.' The effort he puts into designing every single shot—the way he conceives and shoots each one—is incredible," the actor shared.
Shreyas further explained how Rohit focuses on every detail, especially when it comes to comedy and audience expectations. "If a punchline isn't working, he’ll stop. He’ll rewrite it. If it doesn't work today, he’ll do it tomorrow or the day after. He leaves nothing to chance. Having worked with him on Golmaal, I’ve seen up close that he never takes it for granted," he added.
The actor highlighted that Rohit understands the expectations of families and children who have grown up watching the franchise. "He keeps in mind that children and families are his audience, and they deserve entertainment that offers true value for money—delivering even more than what is expected from Golmaal. And that is exactly what he strives to deliver," Shreyas said.
