Actors Pankaj Tripathi and Aditi Rao Hydari are all set to share the screen for the first time in the upcoming film Parivarik ManuRanjan. In a new development, the film has opted for a direct-to-OTT release instead of arriving in cinemas and will premiere on Sony LIV. Blending romance, humour and the warmth of family relationships, the film promises an entertaining story for audiences who enjoy heartfelt narratives with a lighthearted touch. Although the makers have confirmed the streaming platform, the official release date is yet to be announced, leaving fans waiting for further details about the project.
According to the makers, Parivarik ManuRanjan offers a refreshing take on romance, sprinkled with humour and the wholesome love and warmth of a family. The film aims to bring together the charm of a romantic story and the comfort of family entertainment, making it an appealing addition to Sony LIV's upcoming content slate. With two accomplished performers coming together for the first time, the project has already created curiosity among movie lovers. Pankaj Tripathi is known for his natural screen presence and ability to bring depth to varied characters, while Aditi Rao Hydari has earned appreciation for her graceful performances across films and streaming projects. Their first on-screen collaboration will be one of the key attractions of the film.
The project also marks the beginning of a new partnership between Bhanushali Studios Limited and AAZ Films. Parivarik ManuRanjan is directed by Varun V. Sharma, with the story and screenplay written by Brijendra Kala, Ali Abbas Zafar and Varun V. Sharma. The dialogues have been penned by Brijendra Kala, whose contribution adds another creative dimension to the film's storytelling. The film is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Himanshu Kishan Mehta and Alicia Zafar, while Ali Abbas Zafar serves as the creative producer. The combination of established production names and an ensemble of writers has added interest to this family-oriented romantic entertainer.
The decision to release the film directly on Sony LIV reflects the growing role of streaming platforms in bringing new stories to audiences. OTT releases allow viewers to discover films from the comfort of their homes, while giving filmmakers another route to connect with audiences. For Parivarik ManuRanjan, the digital release will offer viewers an opportunity to see Pankaj Tripathi and Aditi Rao Hydari in a pairing that has not been explored on screen before. However, with the release date still under wraps, audiences will have to wait for the makers to share more information about the premiere and the film's promotional campaign.
Meanwhile, Pankaj Tripathi is preparing for another important milestone in his career as he gets ready to make his hosting debut at the International Indian Film Academy Weekend and Awards. The 27th edition of IIFA Weekend and Awards is scheduled to take place at Etihad Arena on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, on January 22 and 23, 2027. The event is expected to bring together prominent names from the Indian film industry for a celebration of cinema. For Tripathi, who is widely recognised for his acting across theatrical releases and streaming titles, stepping into the role of an awards-show host will be a new experience.
The actor has reportedly expressed both excitement and nervousness about taking on the hosting responsibility for the first time. His move from performing in front of the camera to guiding a major awards ceremony offers fans a chance to see another side of his personality. With Parivarik ManuRanjan heading to Sony LIV and his IIFA hosting debut approaching, Tripathi has an eventful period ahead. Meanwhile, audiences will be watching for the film's release announcement and more details about his first collaboration with Aditi Rao Hydari.
