The official trailer for Paradise Records is here, and it marks a bold and hilarious directorial debut from multi-platinum rapper, writer, and producer Logic — real name Sir Robert Bryson Hall II. Stepping behind the camera for the first time, Logic also stars in the film as Cooper, a struggling record store owner fighting to save his beloved store from foreclosure, criminal mischief, and the threat of being bought out.

Described as a spiritual successor to cult classics like Clerks, Barbershop, Empire Records, and Friday After Next, Paradise Records blends heartfelt moments with high-energy comedy and stoner charm. Executive produced by indie film legend Kevin Smith, the trailer gives off major nostalgic vibes with a fresh twist — packed with snappy one-liners, absurd hijinks, and a truly lovable ensemble.

In addition to Logic, the film stars Tramayne Hudson, Reed Northrup, and Mary Elizabeth Kelly, and promises a slew of surprise cameos that fans will want to keep an eye out for. As Cooper battles through a hilariously bad day involving a failed loan, persistent buyers, and even a robbery, his eccentric staff and plentiful weed supply become his lifeline in navigating chaos with laughter and loyalty.

While the official release date is yet to be announced, the trailer has already made waves for its genuinely funny moments and authentic indie vibe. Paradise Records looks poised to become a cult favorite in its own right, showcasing Logic's storytelling chops far beyond music — and reminding fans why weird workplaces make the best movie backdrops.
