Disney has officially unveiled the first teaser trailer for Ice Age: Boiling Point, the sixth installment in the beloved animated franchise Ice Age, sending fans into a wave of nostalgia and excitement. The upcoming film continues the long-running saga that began under Blue Sky Studios and is now being carried forward by 20th Century Studios under the Disney banner.
The teaser confirms that the original herd is back together again, ready for another wild, prehistoric adventure. Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, Scrat, Crash, Eddie, and Baby Scrat all return, proving once again that chaos and comedy are never far behind when this group is involved. The film continues the franchise’s signature mix of slapstick humor, emotional bonding, and over-the-top survival adventures.
This time, the story takes the herd into the mysterious “Lost World,” a dangerous and uncharted region filled with dinosaurs, molten lava, and unpredictable terrain. The teaser shows the characters literally blasting out of a volcano before landing in a high-energy, lava-filled landscape, setting the tone for what looks like one of their most chaotic journeys yet.
The voice cast brings back fan-favorite performers, including Ray Romano as Manny, Denis Leary as Diego, John Leguizamo as Sid, Queen Latifah as Ellie, and Simon Pegg as Buck. The teaser also highlights Scrat’s ongoing obsession with acorns, along with Crash, Eddie, and Baby Scrat, ensuring plenty of comedic chaos throughout the journey.
Directed by animation filmmaker John Donkin, Ice Age: Boiling Point appears to lean heavily into large-scale adventure storytelling while keeping the franchise’s heart intact. The film expands the world beyond its familiar icy landscapes, pushing the characters into fiery new territory filled with prehistoric dangers and unexpected discoveries.
What stands out in the teaser is the franchise’s continued ability to reinvent itself while maintaining its core identity. From frozen beginnings to volcanic chaos, the Ice Age series shows it still has room to evolve, even after multiple films and shifting studio ownership.
Ice Age: Boiling Point is scheduled for theatrical release on February 5, 2027, and if the teaser is anything to go by, fans can expect a fast, funny, and fiery return of one of animation’s most iconic ensembles.
