In what might be one of the boldest and most innovative narrative experiments in Indian cinema, producer-writer Sajid Nadiadwala has unveiled a jaw-dropping twist about the upcoming comedy-thriller Housefull 5. Speaking during the trailer launch, Nadiadwala revealed that the film will feature multiple alternate endings, with a different killer revealed in each theatre, making every viewing a unique experience.
“I’ve been toying with this idea for 30 years,” said Nadiadwala. “If I ever made a thriller, I wanted people to leave the theatre shocked, questioning what they just saw — and talking about it. So I wrote a story where every cinema hall gets its own ending. If you watch it in Gaiety, the killer is someone else. If you go to Galaxy or PVR, even different screens within the same multiplex will reveal different culprits. It’s the first time in cinematic history that something like this is being done.”
The concept is nothing short of revolutionary — an ambitious fusion of classic Housefull chaos and an interactive mystery model that turns each audience into a part of the narrative puzzle. According to Nadiadwala, this variable-ending technique was implemented after principal photography, through carefully designed reshoots and editing. “Half of the cast probably doesn’t even know who the killer is in the version you’ll watch,” he added with a laugh.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and a massive ensemble of Bollywood veterans and newcomers. With this daring twist, the film doesn’t just aim to entertain — it’s poised to become a cultural conversation starter, sparking debates, comparisons, and repeat viewings. As fans count down to its June 6, 2025 release, one thing is clear: Housefull 5 is not just another sequel — it's a cinematic gamble that could redefine mainstream storytelling.
