Producer Sandeep Singh has officially announced his next major feature film — Dongri – Gangster’s Paradise, a gritty action drama that dives deep into the heart of Mumbai’s underworld. Revealing the title and motion poster via social media, Singh teased a raw, emotional, and explosive story set in one of the city’s most iconic crime hubs. He wrote, “The Mumbai underworld rises again!” — setting the tone for what promises to be a powerful cinematic return to the gangster genre.
The film will be directed by choreographer-turned-filmmaker Remo Gopi D’Souza, marking a bold new chapter in his directorial career. Known for his work in dance-centric films, Remo steps into darker, more intense territory with this one. The screenplay and dialogues come from Milap Milan Zaveri, no stranger to punchy, masala-driven storytelling (Satyameva Jayate, Marjaavaan). Production is being handled by Sandeep Singh and Vishal Gurnani under Legend Studios, alongside co-producers Juhi Parekh Mehta, Vicky Jain, Lizelle D’Souza, and Golden Hour Production.
Scheduled to go on floors in February 2026, Dongri – Gangster’s Paradise is already creating serious buzz ahead of its October 9, 2026 theatrical release. While the cast remains under wraps, the powerful creative team, paired with the film’s gritty subject, has audiences and insiders curious about who will lead this saga of crime, power, and redemption. With music by hit duo Sachin–Jigar, the soundtrack is also expected to complement the film's emotional and high-voltage tone.
With this announcement, Bollywood looks set to re-enter the world of intense, character-driven gangster dramas — a genre that once defined an era. As the underworld once again takes cinematic center stage, Dongri – Gangster’s Paradise could be the gritty, grand revival fans of classic Mumbai noir have been waiting for.
