Ranveer Singh is all admiration for his co-star Arjun Rampal in the upcoming spy thriller Dhurandhar, where Rampal plays the role of Major Iqbal – an ISI operative. Sharing his excitement, Ranveer said, “Arjun Rampal is known as the most good-looking man on earth, but lately people have started to understand his depth and range as an actor. His look is his presentation; I don’t know how Aditya Dhar managed to think of him as such a monster.”
“Even during the shoot, the girls were gushing over Arjun Rampal, and I was like, what is it with girls, they love him even more despite him looking like a monster. But sir, you acting is more than aces, so thank you for uplifting me on sets. It was a rough shot, we got injured, had over knees scraped, we would often bleed, but despite everything Arjun would be upbeat and start shooting” added Ranveer.
Rampal’s portrayal of a dark and intense character has already caught the attention of fans and industry insiders alike. The actor’s nuanced performance is expected to add significant weight to the film’s high-stakes espionage narrative, complementing Ranveer Singh’s larger-than-life protagonist.
Dhurandhar is written, directed, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, known for his previous action-packed films. The movie is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar under the banners Jio Studios and B62 Studios.
The ensemble cast includes Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, with Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in supporting roles. With its gripping story and star-studded cast, Dhurandhar is shaping up to be a major cinematic event this December.
