Just in time for Halloween season, Hulu has unleashed the official trailer for The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, a bold new remake of the 1992 cult thriller—this time with a chilling, modern twist from rising Mexican horror filmmaker Michelle Garza Cervera (Huesera).
Slated for release on October 22, 2025, this reimagining brings back the unsettling tale of trust gone terribly wrong. The story follows an affluent suburban mother (played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead) who hires a seemingly perfect nanny, Polly Murphy (Maika Monroe, known for It Follows), to help manage her picture-perfect life. But as tension creeps in and secrets start to unravel, it becomes clear Polly isn’t who she says she is—and her motives are far more sinister than childcare.
