Warner Bros. has officially revealed a new release date for the long-awaited Gremlins 3, accompanied by a mysterious 11-second teaser that gives fans a brief but exciting glimpse of a familiar creature. The studio shared a video post featuring a small, expressive furry figure peeking out from a smoky backpack, with the cryptic message, “10.6.28. Only In Theaters.” The announcement confirms that the next chapter in the beloved Gremlins franchise is moving to a later date.
Originally scheduled to arrive in cinemas on November 19, 2027, Gremlins 3 will now be released on October 6, 2028. While the teaser doesn't reveal the film's title treatment, storyline or characters, the brief appearance of what appears to be a Mogwai is enough to reignite excitement around the project. Warner Bros. has kept much of the film under wraps, making the mysterious teaser particularly intriguing for longtime fans.
The project was first revealed by Warner Bros. Discovery CEO and president David Zaslav during an investor call in 2025. One of the biggest attractions behind the film is the return of filmmaker Chris Columbus, who wrote the original 1984 Gremlins.
