The chaos is officially back as Ajay Devgn unveils a motion poster and behind-the-scenes update for Golmaal 5, confirming that the beloved comedy franchise is once again rolling cameras in Ooty. The actor shared an energetic post along with a sunny shoot video, teasing fans with the caption: "This time the ride is big, and the entertainment will be even bigger, #Golmaal5 Ooty schedule with the boys #RohitShetty @RSPicturez".
Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film is currently being shot in the scenic hills of Ooty, where the cast was spotted around a massive custom-built red motorcycle trike. The tagline “Iss baar sawaari badi hai” hints at an even bigger dose of madness, action, and signature Golmaal humor that fans have come to love.
This time, the franchise brings back its core gang of mischief-makers in full force. Ajay Devgn returns as the ever-dominant Gopal, leading the chaos once again. Joining him is Arshad Warsi as Madhav, Tusshar Kapoor as the silent yet iconic Lucky, Shreyas Talpade as Laxman Prasad Apte, and Kunal Kemmu returning as the second Laxman, continuing the franchise’s signature confusion-driven comedy.
Adding a nostalgic twist, Sharman Joshi makes a much-awaited return as the original Laxman, marking his comeback to the series after the very first Golmaal film in 2006. The ensemble also features seasoned comedy veterans like Sanjay Mishra as Babli Bhai, Mukesh Tiwari as Vasooli Bhai, along with Johnny Lever, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Vrajesh Hirjee, promising a full-blown comedy riot.
In a surprise addition, Akshay Kumar is reportedly joining the franchise in a new and unusual avatar, with buzz suggesting he may play either a bald-headed antagonist or a quirky tantrik-style character—adding even more unpredictability to the already chaotic universe.
With the film now officially in production after years of anticipation following Golmaal Again, excitement among fans is at an all-time high. Social media reactions have been pouring in, with audiences celebrating the return of the “boys gang” while also speculating about how Akshay Kumar’s new role will fit into the madness.
Backed by Rohit Shetty’s signature high-energy storytelling, Golmaal 5 is shaping up to be a bigger, louder, and more unpredictable ride than ever before. If the Ooty shoot and motion poster are anything to go by, the Golmaal universe is ready to deliver another full-scale comedy explosion.
