In a surprise announcement, RLJE Films has dropped the official trailer for Muzzle: City of Wolves, the unexpected sequel to the 2023 action-thriller Muzzle. Once again helmed by director John Stalberg Jr., the film sees Aaron Eckhart reprise his role as Jake Rosser—a haunted ex-K-9 officer whose past refuses to stay buried.
The trailer teases a tense, emotionally charged narrative set against the violent urban sprawl hinted at in the title. After barely surviving the events of the first film, Jake is now trying to live a quiet life with his family and his loyal retired dog, Socks. But peace doesn’t last long. A brutal attack by a gang catapults him back into the world of violence, corruption, and moral ambiguity. With Socks out of commission, Jake teams up with a new K-9 partner, Argos, to take on a spiraling war against a dangerous drug trafficking ring.
The story, penned by Jacob Michael King from an original story by Stalberg Jr., promises high-octane action with a psychological edge. It dives deep into Jake’s PTSD, further blurring the line between protector and predator. Alongside Eckhart, the film stars Tanya Van Graan and Karl Thaning, adding fresh energy to the expanding Muzzle universe.
