Soni Razdan, Anshuman Jha and Raghubir Yadav are coming together for the upcoming family dramedy Om Ka Hari, and the makers have now announced its theatrical release date. Directed by Harish Vyas, the film will hit cinemas on September 18, 2026. Sharing a new poster, the makers teased the complicated family dynamics at the heart of the story with the line, “Warning People in this family are not as close as they appear.”

The film revolves around the relationship between Hari Prasad Sharma and his son Om Prasad Sharma, played by Raghubir Yadav and Anshuman Jha. The father and son have very different personalities and frequently find themselves at odds, but their clashes are balanced with humour, warmth and emotional moments. Samta Sudiksha and Ayesha Kapur also feature in key roles, while the film explores how love within a family can sometimes hide behind arguments, disagreements and everyday chaos.

For Harish Vyas, Om Ka Hari completes his trilogy exploring different forms of love. His earlier films, Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain and Hum Bhi Akele-Tum Bhi Akele, explored romantic relationships and friendship respectively. The new film turns the focus towards the complicated bond between a father and son. It also marks Vyas' third collaboration with Anshuman Jha after the two previously worked together on his earlier films.

The film's music comes with a particularly special touch as it features the voice of late legendary singer Asha Bhosle, along with Amit Kumar and Paresh Pahuja. Bhosle's last recorded film song, “Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chupi Hai Kahan,” will feature in Om Ka Hari and is scheduled to release on September 8, coinciding with her birth anniversary.

The film has also enjoyed a festival run, premiering at Stuttgart in 2025 before screenings at IFFM Melbourne and CSAFF, followed by its Indian premiere at the Closing Gala of the Red Lorry Film Festival.

Produced by First Ray Films, Om Ka Hari now makes the move from the festival circuit to theatres. With its focus on family relationships, generational differences and the humour that often emerges from domestic disagreements, the film promises a more intimate and relatable take on love. With a talented cast and a story centred on one of life's most complicated relationships, Om Ka Hari is set to release in cinemas on September 18, 2026.
