Rocking Star Yash brought the power of Raavan to the forefront as Bengaluru turned into the centre of Ramayana celebrations! The actor returned to his home ground for a grand trailer launch of the much-anticipated epic, joining co-stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey and Rakul Preet Singh, along with director Nitesh Tiwari. Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari was also present, while Yash’s wife, Radhika, stood by him in support. The event marked the beginning of the film’s promotional campaign in Karnataka, with Yash expressing pride in being part of a project that aims to take India’s cultural heritage and storytelling to audiences across the world.
Addressing the gathering, Yash spoke about why Bengaluru was a meaningful place to begin the promotions. Acknowledging the city’s role in nurturing ambition and celebrating hard work, he said Ramayana was never approached as just another film. For him, the project represents an opportunity for the Indian film industry to come together and present one of the country’s most celebrated epics on a global stage. As a producer as well as an actor in the film, Yash emphasised the larger vision behind the ambitious undertaking and the responsibility that comes with bringing such an iconic story to the screen.
Yash was full of praise for Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram, describing him as an exceptionally grounded and dedicated individual. “You are the most honest, hardworking, simple, grounded human being I have ever met,” Yash told Ranbir. Highlighting the actor’s commitment to the role, he added, “I have seen you surrender. People will bless you.” His words reflected the respect he has developed for Ranbir’s approach to the character, while also expressing confidence that audiences would embrace his portrayal of Lord Ram. Yash’s heartfelt appreciation became one of the standout moments of the event.
Turning to Sai Pallavi, who portrays Sita, Yash spoke about the grace and devotion she brought to the role. Revealing that she frequently remembered Mother Sita while working on the film, he said, “That grace is in her, the art is in her, she has a good heart.” He also urged audiences to shower her with love and blessings. Yash then praised Ravie Dubey, who plays Lakshmana, calling him “such a wonderful actor” and promising that audiences would discover a “surprise package” in the film. Sharing a special moment with Rakul Preet Singh, he recalled her Kannada film debut with Gilli, noting that the film’s producer, Jayanna, was also present at the event. “For Kannadigas, the first cinema, she started from Kannada itself, Gilli,” he said, highlighting the full-circle moment.
Yash also acknowledged director Nitesh Tiwari’s dedication to bringing Ramayana to life, praising his understanding of storytelling and recalling how audiences had watched and enjoyed his earlier film Dangal. As a producer, Yash credited partner Namit Malhotra with spearheading the project’s international business and reiterated their ambition to take Indian cinema to the world. He also addressed the much-discussed ₹4,000-crore figure, clarifying that it referred to the combined costs of the two-part film and its promotions. The explanation offered context to the scale of the production, which is being mounted with global ambitions and a long-term vision.
However, the moment that truly electrified the Bengaluru gathering came when Yash delivered a Raavan dialogue at fans’ request: “Heaven... Earth... Netherworld... Across all three realms, mine is the empire... Ravana's kingdom!” The powerful line brought the spotlight firmly onto his portrayal of the formidable antagonist and sent a clear reminder of the larger-than-life presence he brings to the epic. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Part One is produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. The film is scheduled to release worldwide in cinemas on 5 November 2026, with the Bengaluru launch setting the stage for its promotional journey.
