Parineeti Chopra is finally ready to make her much-awaited series debut, and the first trailer of Shaque: Trust No One promises a mystery packed with emotion, suspicion and psychological twists. The trailer, unveiled on Thursday, introduces Parineeti as a mother whose life changes forever after her child goes missing. Set to premiere on Netflix on September 24, the upcoming thriller looks set to take viewers on a tense journey where every relationship comes under the scanner.
At the heart of Shaque is a mother’s devastating nine-year search for her missing child. She refuses to accept that her child is gone and continues looking for answers long after everyone around her expects her to move on. Her determination eventually leads her towards disturbing clues and buried secrets, forcing her to question the people she once trusted the most.
Adding another layer of mystery to the story are mysterious photographs that reportedly arrive every year, showing the missing child growing up. The photographs leave the mother with a painful but powerful possibility — her child could still be alive. As she follows the trail, the line between what she sees, what she believes and what is actually happening begins to blur, creating the psychological tension at the centre of the series.
For Parineeti, the project marks an important new chapter as she steps into the world of long-form streaming for the first time. Playing a mother driven by instinct and an almost unbreakable determination, the actor gets an emotionally demanding role that puts her character at the heart of the mystery. The show also features Harleen Sethi, Sumeet Vyas and Dhruv Chowdhary in key roles, adding to an ensemble that promises plenty of secrets and shifting loyalties.
