Rashmika Mandanna has finally addressed the online backlash and unsolicited relationship advice surrounding her recent interview with her husband, whom she affectionately calls “Vijju.” In a heartfelt, multi-image post, the actress opened up about their relationship, the criticism they have faced, and why she refuses to let internet narratives define her personal life. Making her stand clear, Rashmika emphasised that their bond has always been about mutual understanding, genuine love, and choosing each other after taking the time to be certain about their future together. The post also featured a playful video of the couple sharing a piggyback moment at home, offering a glimpse of their happy and affectionate equation.

Addressing both her supporters and those criticising their relationship, Rashmika began her message by writing, “My lovely people of the internet, To all those who deeply love and to those who are permanently bitter. My lil' 2 cents on this whole issue concerning me and Vijju.” Explaining why she decided to speak up, the actress said she usually does not respond to public opinions because she believes everyone is entitled to their perspective. However, the reaction to their interview appeared different to her, as she felt the discussion had turned into an angry pile-on rather than a genuine exchange of opinions.

Rashmika wrote, “But the current frenzy over our interview feels less like people having opinions and more like an angry mob looking for someone to vent at. Somewhere along the way, the whole point got lost. Maybe it didn't fit your lens. Maybe some of you simply don't want to see it.” She added that she was speaking out because she wanted to protect those who believe in love and hoped everyone would find their own version of it. The actress also revealed that both their social media profiles had been flooded with comments, opinions, and unsolicited advice, with the intensity of the reaction leaving her genuinely shaken.

Clarifying the discussion about their commitment and marriage, Rashmika stressed that their relationship was never about the number of times a conversation took place or about waiting an entire year. Instead, she explained that the conversation was about giving each other enough time and space to understand whether they were ready to build a life together. As she put it, “Yes, that conversation happened. But neither of us was looking for a grand proposal. The conversation was about him wanting both of us to take the time and space to understand each other, to be sure that despite all the highs and lows, the joys and stresses of life, this was what we wanted and the right time for it. And we did. We chose each other.”

The actress also responded to women who had been making reels expressing concern for her and advising her to leave the relationship. While thanking them for their intentions, Rashmika pointed out that they had not witnessed the difficult periods of her life when her partner stood by her. “But I wish some of you had been there a couple of years ago, when things were really, really hard. You weren't there. HE WAS and HE IS even right now,” she wrote, making it clear that her own experiences mattered more to her than assumptions made by strangers online.

Rashmika went on to affirm that she is currently experiencing the happiest phase of her life, pointing to the joy she has felt since getting married, her performances, her films, and the way she lives each day. “I am happy. I am content. I am blessed,” she declared, expressing disappointment that some people would rather believe misleading edits, random narratives, and what she described as lies circulating online than listen to her account of her own life.

Explaining what her partner's presence means to her, Rashmika highlighted the everyday moments in which he offers care, comfort, and support. From being there when she is injured or unwell to supporting her through anxiety and low moments, she described a relationship built on showing up when it matters. “To have someone who roots for you, showers you with affection, protects you, watches out for you, celebrates your every win - that is the only love I want - and I have,” she wrote.

Concluding her message, Rashmika urged people not to worry about her or her partner and instead wished them the same depth of love and happiness, if that was what they wanted for themselves. Her affectionate piggyback video with Vijju further reflected the playful, comfortable bond she described in her statement. With her response, the actress made it clear that she is content with her choices and does not want her relationship to be judged through internet speculation.
