The madness surrounding Toxic A Fairytale for Grown Ups just got another major boost. KVN Productions has unveiled a new official English dub trailer for the highly anticipated action thriller, and the latest footage doubles down on everything that makes the film look so audacious — brutal violence, lavish production design, explosive action and a crime world where survival comes at a price.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic transports audiences to a bygone era of Goa, beginning in the early 1940s and moving through the 1970s. But this is far from the postcard version of the coastal paradise. Beneath the beaches, colonial architecture and vibrant culture lies a dangerous criminal underworld controlled by powerful cartels and ruthless men fighting for dominance.

At the centre of this world is Yash, who plays a man determined to build his own criminal empire. The film follows his transformation as he rises through a world shaped by smuggling, violence and shifting loyalties. Power is not handed to him — he has to take it, and every victory appears to come with an increasingly brutal cost.

The new English trailer gives viewers another glimpse at the scale of the action. Gunfights erupt across the screen, knives become weapons of terrifying close-range combat, explosions tear through locations and the footage even features a plane crash. If the earlier trailer established Toxic as an aggressive action spectacle, this new preview makes it clear that Geetu Mohandas is not interested in taking her foot off the accelerator.

Yet the film appears to be more than a collection of violent set pieces. Its central story is rooted in the rise of a criminal empire and the psychological consequences of building power through fear. As smuggling routes become battlegrounds and alliances begin to collapse, paranoia becomes just as dangerous as the enemies surrounding the protagonist.

The setting gives Toxic another distinctive edge. Goa becomes almost a character in the story, with its beautiful coastal landscape providing a striking contrast to the violence taking place underneath the surface. The idea of a sun-soaked paradise hiding a brutal criminal network allows the film to play with two very different visual identities at once.

Yash leads an ensemble that includes Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. With such a large cast surrounding the protagonist, the film appears to have plenty of competing characters and loyalties, making it difficult to predict who can actually be trusted as the story moves forward.

Geetu Mohandas, who previously directed films including Liar's Dice and The Elder One, is taking a significant stylistic leap with Toxic. Her earlier work established her reputation as a filmmaker interested in complex human stories, while this project places that sensibility inside a much larger commercial action framework.

The screenplay has been written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, suggesting a creative partnership that goes beyond the actor-director relationship. Their approach appears to combine the scale expected from a major action film with a darker character study about ambition, brutality and the consequences of unchecked power.

The film is being made in both Kannada and English, with the new English trailer giving international audiences another look at its world. The title itself, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups, hints at the deliberately heightened nature of the film — a dark fairy tale where heroes and villains may not be as clearly separated as they first appear.

The action showcased so far certainly lives up to the film's reputation for being bonkers. Shootouts, explosions, blades, collapsing structures and spectacular destruction are packed into the trailers, but the real curiosity lies in how all that mayhem fits into the larger story of a man descending deeper into a criminal empire.

Toxic is scheduled to hit theatres on August 26, 2026. With Yash leading the charge, Geetu Mohandas bringing her distinctive filmmaking voice and an ensemble featuring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth, the film is shaping up to be one of the year's most ambitious Indian action spectacles.

If the new English trailer is any indication, Toxic is not arriving quietly. It is bringing guns, grenades, betrayals, explosions and a seriously dark version of Goa with it. The only question now is whether audiences are ready for the fairytale to get this savage.
